If it wasn't for the old faithfuls that keep playing (won't go away), this game would have been shut down (killed) a long time ago.
There are only 105 people who have played this month, but the oldest player dates back to 10/27/01 (we opened for business on 10/19/01.) There are 20 current players that have been playing for over 10 years (god knows why).
The truth is that this game has outlived its usefulness. I created it as a learning experience for a couple of technologies. When necessary, I revamped it to learn new technologies. I have since built, and sold, a software company based primarily from what I learned from AC, and thanks to that I recently retired at 47. :)
So it seems that AcroChallenge has outlasted me! It's the game that just won't die (no matter how hard i try.)
To those faithful that play every week/month/year, I salute you. As long as you play, AcroChallenge will be here for you (not that anyone reads this, but it's nice to say (type) out loud (quietly). |

Thank you for this post and thank you for the game, it's the least I can say. I've played countless times with different nicknames (most games I've played as "key") from 3 different countries. It makes me very happy to read about your story and how through your efforts for the game you've gathered enough knowledge to make it in life. I see it as a kind of justice/karma thing, for all these great years. |
